Tommy's Wok used to be one of our favourite restaurants for more than two years up until Christmas Eve. That day, we went there to have lunch with my wife, we ordered two dishes from the lunch menu: One Shechuan Chicken for my wife and one Imperial Seafood for me. Shechuan Chicken came with some noodles, and there was a HUGE FLY sitting in the noodles. We notified the waiter, he took the plate to the kitchen and brought it back in a few seconds. We asked him if he changed the contents of the whole plate and he said he only replaced the noodles. We got very upset and asked him to replace the contents of the whole plate (in hindsight, we should've asked for the check at that point and left). After about 10 minutes, a new plate came without any apology or anything. My wife couldn't eat most of it, so we asked for the check, and they charged us fully for this terrible experience! without a single apology from anyone who worked there that day. They behaved as if this is a natural daily occurence. I don't think this restaurant will be in our list anymore.

I stopped in today for a quick bite to eat and have been craving for some chinese food for over a week. I had their Chicken Curry lunch special. It came with side salad, main dish, and some fruit to follow up. The portions were perfect and the food itself was delicous. I can see why this restaurant gets so many solid reviews. stop by and check it out and see for yourself.

I have eaten at every chinese restaurant in the county over the years.Most were okay..nothing really stood out. After recently moving to Sausalito, I decided to give Tommy's Wok a shot. WOW!!!! The food was fresh, fragrant, colorful, abundant and delicious!!! I have already had 2 take out orders in one week!!!! In fact after I got my first order home...I called "annie" , the nice woman who took my order to tell her how happy I was with my meal. While I have only had take out, I found the atmosphere to be inviting,clean, moderately upscale without being snooty. A real find!!!!

All fresh ingredients, very friendly staff, and you can watch them cook your meal through the huge glass windows. They are very accomodating when I've wanted to create my own dish, and food is prepared quickly. Wonderful people work here and create wonderful food! WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Yes, I know that's a bold claim but go there and then pop off. Tommy's Rocks. Yeah it's expensive especially for Chinese but it really is outstanding. Try the Dungeness Crab over clear noodles or the Ginger garlic fish. Tommy's Prawns are not the stuff diets are made of but they are out of control good. Tommy's and Robata, right up the road, make a heck of a one-two Chinese-Japanese punch.
